Pass the Tissues

I.am.so. CONGESTIONED!

I was sick last week, got over it and was cold-free for three whole days. Then on Thursday, it started again.

I got, oh, maybe two hours of sleep last night. I couldn't breathe, no matter how many advil cold & sinus I took or how much Vicks I lathered on.

Okay, I get it. First year teachers catch every single germ. It's another initiation ritual, isn't it? :S

Photographer... Check.

18 months to go and the photographer has been booked. Are we crazy?
Well, I don't know. Once we found the photo style we liked, we started shopping around. We found Pagakis at the bridal salon show, and he was the first photographer whose album we looked at. He was also the only photographer who we went to see a second time during the show. So, he was the first photographer we saw when we started shopping. He liked us, and we got a quote that was within our price range. After visiting a few more photographers, we decided to book him, and we gave him our deposit on yesterday. He was our first choice, and since he's the one shooting our wedding, we didn't want to risk "losing" him. Once the photographer gets booked for your wedding date, that's it. He can't shoot more than one wedding per Saturday!
I am so immensely relieved and happy that the photography + video (his studio does both) is booked. They are such important things to both Alex and I that I feel now like a whole load has been lifted. And, now, I'm happy to say there is nothing on my wedding to-do list until the summer. Just inspiration and details in the meantime ;)

NYC Getaway

I'm so excited because today, Alex and I confirmed and booked our weekend away to NYC! We're going on December 19-21st, right before Christmas. We have plans to see the big tree up at Rockefeller Centre, maybe even go ice skating... eat good food, shop, get in the Christmas mood, and of course, see a Broadway show! I looked online and I found Shrek the musical and after looking it up online, decided it was too much fun to pass up. So, we're going to see it and I'm so excited!
YAY for weekends away to the Big Apple!
